Chapter 12: July 1951

We have been baptized just over a year now and the most incredible opportunity came up recently. We took a trip down to Palmyra with our branch president, Vidal Mills and his wife and some other friends. Well while we were there, who else should we run into, but the prophet! President David O. McKay happened to also be visiting Palmyra and we were able to meet him, talk a little, and take a picture too.

Now we haven’t been part of this Church for too long, but we still can recognize what a powerful man of God he was. Kenny and I are hoping to be sealed together in the temple soon, and we talked about that a little bit. It may not be for a few more years still, but it is our goal to make it happen.
